Autumn Notes
The 2nd annual Drive America event was recently held at Road America. It is an event held to support The March of Dimes. Concours Motors was one of the sponsors again this year. It provides the opportunity to drive the Road America racetrack with your own vehicle under the supervision of driving school instructors. Over 100 participants were divided into four groups that spent about 15 minutes in each session. Many Concours customers took advantage to drive their cars in a high performance manner. This year raised $42,000 for The March of Dimes, up from $38,000 last year.
The new Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet was recently unveiled in the Concours Motors Porsche showroom. The convertible version of the Turbo was just introduced for the 2008 model year. The unveiling was held in conjunction with a meeting of the Southeast Wisconsin chapter of the German Chamber of Commerce. In attendance was Frank Dettke, CFO of Porsche Financial.
A regular comment about Porsche Carreras is their lack of practical use. A few of our Carrera Cabriolet customers have had great success adapting child passenger seats for the rear seats of the cars. Who said the Carrera isn’t a family car!
